Kevin & Keli - Dapper & Bride Showcase

“We used Dapper & Bride for my wedding this summer (19’) and their service was stellar.”

Kevin and Keli got married on 24th August 2019 in beautiful Cambridgeshire in a beautiful service at The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, followed by a reception at The Priory Centre. Guests were treated to a styled space complete with a range of African print decor, fans (one placed for each guest at the table), white and purple floral arrangements, meshed with a sci-fi and Disney table names!

Working with Kevin and Keli was great! It’s always fantastic to have a groom so actively involved in the Dapper & Bride process. Kevin, like many grooms, loved the idea of having the magazine for their wedding day and luckily didn’t have to do much championing for Keli to agree.

Although (in my mind lol), I’ve moved away from designing traditional stationery, on request I can provide what I call a top to bottom wedding print service. Clients like the thought of being able to have all of their bridal prints done under a single roof and of course, I’m more than happy to produce them!

“They provided our invitations, place name cards, table plan and The jewel in the crown of our wedding… Our very own wedding magazine.”

The wedding colour theme: Purple Rain! Lavendar/lilac with white. As always, Dapper & Bride’s magazines are designed to coordinate with the day. They had lots of photos to choose from - but with help of Keli’s dad 😊, had a last minute photo shoot. These were great for the full scale feature pages! Loved them!

COVER TALK -The First Family Cover of Dapper & Bride!First of all, I absolutely luuurrvveddd this picture of the Selfs (the complete unit). When I came across it in the batch, I immediately thought it was perfect. I honestly wasn’t sure how they’d react to having little Amariah on the cover with them, but they went for it and I’m so glad they did. She looked super adorbs, so much so, I even created her own personal headline; “The cutest flower girl of 2019”. 😍 Plus her teddy was in wedding colours, so how could we not? Looking forward to more wedding couples on the cover featuring their little ones. Hopefully this will inspire more brides and grooms to consider it at least. :)

“The wedding magazine was a big hit.”

Exclusive Inside DeetsThese two are hilarious. When reading interview stories for the first time, (most of the time) there are certain lines in each, that usually jump out to me and make me chuckle. It’s such an indication of them as a couple. They talked about the birth of their daughter, after which - at her hospital bedside, Kevin proposed to Keli! 💍 Their first date - which was planned and organised entirely by Kevin! There’s still the unresolved matter of who actually won at the bowling game during said first date. The jury may still out but #TeamBride all the way!

“The quality of end products was only bettered by Kysha’s professionalism.”

My fave fave fave quote in their feature story was “She avoided the pepper sauce and I must admit, it gave me doubts on if she was the one.” -Kevin, on his and Keli’s first date. As someone with Caribbean roots who also avoids pepper sauce - on sight of this statement, I let out a hearty belly laugh. A literal lol! 😂 With their surname being ‘Self’ I loved that they came up with ‘Selfies Gallery’! Such a cool touch, right? Their magazine was also a first for spanning three pages of guest’s seating. With 300+ guests, this issue was definitely was going to pass through so many hands! #Nervous

“Dapper & Bride delivered without flaw”

THE WEDDING PRINTS

The Brief: Keli knew exactly what she wanted! Although floral, she was specific to the flowers - Hibiscus and Orchids, with a tropical feel, lots of leaves. GOT IT! Their ‘Purple Rain’ wedding colours filtered through with each blossom

For the most part, custom designs are usually fleshed out entirely on the first design - which at the beginning of a clients’ wedding journey is likely to be the save the dates or wedding invitations. Once I’ve got the design approved, then it’s really about building on that throughout the rest of the wedding stationery.I do love prints to coordinate and tell a story as the journey progresses throughout the wedding process. I love that guests get to connect each piece… I look at like it’s the couple’s wedding branding.

Their wedding prints included: Save the dates, opting for a digital version, in addition to a small batch of A6 silk prints to send out those few guests for that traditional touch. Gate fold wedding day invitations, with belly band, flat A5 evening invitations (not pictured), personalised printed place cards and a mounted A0 sized seating plan.

“The design and layout is absolutely beautiful, my parents were really impressed with the design. “ - Keli

“Kysha had thought of everything. So we didn’t need to do much thinking…which is exactly what we needed.”

A HUGE thank you to The Selfs for having Dapper & Bride take care of their wedding prints! The feedback was amazing and truly appreciate it!

Best always,

Kysha x
